Wow, it is easy!
Just received this jig and tried it out. The hardest part was cutting the top off the key bow. You can use one of the holes to just cleanly drill the control shear line, or you can use the two holes on the left to drill a couple holes, then remove the jig and use the included second drill bit to widen the holes into a slot, cleanly shearing off the control lug. The core pulls right out, and the barrels and pins are entirely intact. No risk of damage to the pins, making it easy to punch and measure the pins allowing you to cut a control key. Highly recommend.
