A locksmith from Australia (Munro) contacted us about some modifications he made to the "Hooked Diamond" which he indicated made significant improvement to his success in picking some of the locks found there.
He sent samples of what he had designed which we gave to our draftsman.
As a result of his suggestions we now offer 3 thickness's of this unique profile in a "no handle" format. (All 3 thickness's are listed on this page for your convenience).
This is the 0.015 thousandths version.

Becoming my favorite single pin picking profile. Holds onto pins better than a round hook, but slides around better than a flat.

More Profiles Please
Full disclosure: I don't love this profile. It's a little bulky around the head and the angles tend to slip off pin heads in my experience (with non-Australian locks). What I do love is having a full size 0.015" pick with no handle that happily accepts a little filing to a profile I very much like. Much easier than starting from a blank. Ordered and handful and every time I want to tinker with a new profile shape, this is my go to starting point.
